Wood Wind

"Wood Wind" was created with spears of ash wood planted in Door County's Tennison Bay and illuminated by small solar panels. Rocked by the waves near Peninsula State Park, and constantly changing in the light, "Wood Wind" was called an "instrument" by its creator Dan Engelke.

Frank Lloyd Wright Restoration

Mike Lilek heads up a house restoration project on Milwaukee's south side. Lilek is a member of a group called the 'Frank Lloyd Wright Wisconsin Heritage Tourism Program'. The group bought this house--built in 1916-- because it's a very rare example of one of Wright's American System-Built Homes.

Leopold LEED

It's known simply as "the shack," the simple Wisconsin River retreat that inspired Aldo Leopold to write "A Sand County Almanac." Now, down the road from the shack the legacy of Aldo Leopold has inspired the "greenest" building the United States.

Fox PCB Update

Paper companies once contaminated Wisconsin's rivers with the toxic chemical PCBs. For the past ten years, environmental cleanup crews have been dredging the Fox River. The project is now in its final phase and includes a stretch from DePere to Green Bay.

Peninsula State Park

Peninsula State Park offers a perfect vantage point to watch birds soar on wind currents. This week's video postcard takes flight over Tennison Bay.
